Guest guest
NAMASTE I have been reading this eve in the "Guru and the Goddess", by Swami Satyananda. The love and shakti which streams from this text is unbelieveable. To me, it is the ultimate devotee's guide. It is the text which guides the devotee into behaviors and attitudes which bring them into union with the Guru, and God. Maa is my Supreme Guru and my Mother. Thus, as I read this text, the deepest longings of my heart well up and I shudder blissfully with the knowledge that Maa has blessed me with this life to walk on Her Earth to bear witness to her Greatness and worship Her lotus feet. Why do I feel so blessed? The text tells us that the Guru is the manifestation of the highest divinity. She is the one who can remove all sins and bring one to enlightenment and God realization. Drinking the water from Her feet, or pouring it upon your head while thinking of Her, removes all darkness. Serving Her selflessly, bringing Her things which increase Her comfort and happiness, indeed thinking of Her, meditating upon Her, all these streams of consciousness lead to Her unbounded ocean of bliss. Indeed, Guru means destroyer of darkness and bringer of the light. Page 145 states: ...And the feet of the Guru are the ultimate, even difficult for Gods to attain. Even Ha Ha and Hu Hu, 2 famous celestial beings, and multitudes of other divine beings desire to worship. And we are blessed with this chance to serve Her this lifetime. Whether face to face, or heart to heart across the sea of objects and relationships, She is the constant North star, that clestial Guide and keeper of my soul, of all our souls. Time and space can never divide us again, now that She has brought us back to Her lotus feet. I remember her telling me in a wonderous vision, soon after we first met, that She had come back for me. She had come back for me. The words will always ring in my heart. The Mother of the Universe coming back, indeed never leaving me, throught the space between births, or while I stumbled thru the darkness that She created, She guided and held my hand thru all the Earthly hands that loved me thru this life. How can I, or any of us, ever thank Her enough? Give Her pure love and pure devotion. Serve Her in every moment. Strive to remember Her always and see Her in everything. Take the "Guru and the Goddess" in hand, and read the pages hungrily. Devour the words, and jump to put them into action. Don't wait another instant. Give Her your all now. May we all serve Her together in union and harmony. Love and Jai Maa Maa's son Vishweshwar
