Guest guest
Namaste Latha, I couldn't agree more regarding the introduction to Swamiji's books. Personally I always look for the paragraph that talks about what he hopes/prays his translation will bring to the readers. He provides the perfect "intent" that we should be striving for. To quote a few… In the Annapurna Puja and Sahasranaam….. "Mother Annapurna inspires us to nourish others, to give our best, consistent in the wisdom that the greatest joy comes from renunciation…". In the Gayatri Sahasranaan.. "The highest excellence to which man can aspire is the prayer for greater wisdom in every circumstance of life." The names extol the spiritual qualities that every seeker of every tradition will want to inculcate in order to become one with the divine. In the Rudrastadhyayi.. "…. And see the love for God in every action we perform, we will discover that the divinity we are seeking is within us, as well as around us."
