Guest guest
Hello folks, Last month I had sent this email to Latha and she had suggested that I post this on the forum. So here goes... Hi Latha, Got a chance to read your interesting posts on the Devi Mandir chat. You have a wonderful expressive style of communication and I am certain you are helping a lot of fellow spiritual travellers with your honest and witty look at the Birth of a Rishi. (you call it the "Diary of a Sankalpa") I'm usually not vocal on such issues since Sadhana is one's own spiritual journey, however, putting aside my hesitation I decided to write to you directly to offer my two pennies worth of suggestions. >From what I gather from your chats you do take several breaks through your chant. Instead, why not do all the chapters listed in the table of contents except for Chapter 1-13 in the morning. You have now established The Divine Mother in your entire being. You are wearing Her Armour (Kavach), you have taken Her Form (Argala) and are now graciously stepping into the world of objects and relationships. When you are back from work, take all the asuras that piggybacked on you through the day and offer them to Her, so that they too may find Peace. Do Chapter 1-13 along with the Siddha Kunjika Stotram and Arati. I personally like to do at least one mala of Om Namah Shivaya after that. This way, you will have done one complete recitation of the Chandi Path, built a stronger asana / pranayama and sneaked in a bonus benefit. To quote the last verse of the Devi Atharva Shirsyam....."Who recites these mantras in the night will be freed from all sins committed during the day..... who recites both in the day and night will be freed from all sin.". You have the blessings of the Divine Mother, your Gurus and the Devi Mandir family. Don't worry about devotion, about wisdom.... just think of it as making a connection with your Mother. Ring, Ring! Hrim Hrim! What's the difference!!! (That's me being silly!) You have the perfect circumstance so don't give up. Loves, Ruk
Guest guest
One thing I would like to add, I seem to recall Swamiji saying that the chapters should not be recited without first chanting the atha navarna vidhih (someone please correct me if need be) so although it was chanted in the morning it could be used to commence evening worship followed by the thirteen chapters and so on as the post suggested. This is a really beautiful suggestion. Thanks for sharing. Guest guest
It is nice to do so. The more japa of Navarna, the more the Chandi comes alive. , "kaliananda_saraswati" <kaliananda_saraswati> wrote: > One thing I would like to add, I seem to recall Swamiji saying that > the chapters should not be recited without first chanting the atha > navarna vidhih (someone please correct me if need be) so although it > was chanted in the morning it could be used to commence evening > worship followed by the thirteen chapters and so on as the post > suggested.
