One of those great blessings in my life are my friends Vishveshwar, Bharatima and Janaardana. My buddy whom I call Wild Bill at times, aka Vishveshwar, says I should start posting messages to the group. Why do I call him 'Wild Bill' you ask? If you ever chanted mantras at a havan with him or saw him playing his dholak you'd know:-)) My gosh. Now there's a sight! During worship he does everything with the greatest gusto. What an inspiration. He and I used to spend hours together singing, chanting and making offerings at the fire. Vish has now moved to be near Shree Maa and Swamiji. I miss him but I have continued to worship at the dhuni. I have also had the greatest fortune to meet Shree Maa and Swamiji. Although I had attended many pujas and yagyas previously, they made me self-sufficient in performing my own pujas and sacred fire ceremonies. Through their books, DVDs, email correspondence with Swamiji, and some coaching from Bharatima, I am able to do even a Chandi homam. The incredible thing is, they want to teach us all. Swamiji said in one of his online commentaries, making offerings at the fire is ten times more powerful than reciting the text along. I'd like to encourage everyone to learn how to perform sacred fire sacrifices. Thank you Shree Maa and Swamiji for your love and guidance. Thanks Bill, Val and Jonathan for your friendship.
