Guest guest
Reminds me of a statement made by Benjamin Franklin. This is not exactly "quote on quote", but it represents the gist of it. How and when will I ever come to know that I have no ego and no sense of pride? Even if I can conceive of a state that I have become absolutely humble, without a trace of ego or pride, I would STILL take pride on having achieved that state! ..... It truly is amazing - what a vortex this thing called ego is! It gives me a faint clue when masters of yore say that when the Self is realized, there is no one left to realize that IT has been realized! May God lead us all to that sublime state/experience/sense of being/whatever word describes it best! Jai Ma!
Guest guest
Shree Ramakrishna used to explain it by telling the story of a salt doll which went to find the depth of the ocean. When she jumped in, it was merged in the sea and there was no one left to report about it. He also used to say that Ultimate Reality has never been defiled by tongue; for when one reaches this stage he gets merged in to it and there is no one left to report.
