Guest guest
I have been watching the online video "Sakali Tumar Iccha", and listening to the song, sung by Shree Maa, for a few weeks now. I listen to the song over and over as it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard in my life. Shree Maa is so beautiful on the video also. Even if I am doing things and can't watch the whole video, I always try to watch Shree Maa as she sings the last line of the song, and for several seconds after she finishes singing. That little segment is beautiful beyond words, and to see it gives me the most wonderful feeling. The English translation of the words to this song are shown on the video. But I would like to have a transcription of the words that Shree Maa is actually singing. I am thinking it may be in the Bengali language as this song is written by the great Bengali poet Ramprasad. Can anyone supply the words? Thank you, Dharmananda
Guest guest
Dharamnanda. This song is on the recording entitled The Songs of Ramprasad, and I too, find it to be one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. My wife bought the cd in '98 during the tour that year. There was a period of about a year there, when that cd was always on. I truly felt Maa's presence when that cd was playing. Since then, we play it less frequently, but I still go to sleep with it playing every night, and of course, wake with it every morning. My other favorite is Bavile Baveur udayhai (I'm sure I mangled the title, but if you're at all familiar with the song you'll recognize it).
