Guest guest
Chandi Chapter 2 Swamiji outlined the generals in the army of the great ego that are in Chapter 2 of the Chandi. ciksura-devoid of clear understanding camaras-fickleness udagra- haughtiness mahaahanuh-the great deceiver asilomaa-want of resolutions baaskalo-memories of selfish desires parivaritah-wandering to and fro bidaalakyo-finding faults, hypocrisy The first to attack is ciksura-devoid of clear understanding who doubts all of this knowledge. Once we have captured devoid of clear understanding and wandering to and fro then we can sit down and have criteria with which to discriminate because we have defined our goal. Swamiji reminds us that the great ego won the boon that he could only be killed at the hands of the Goddess so we cannot fight this battle alone. It is incumbant upon us to call the Divine Mother to help us in this battle. As long as "I" is trying to eradicate the ego "I" am doing it. Only the Goddess can take the energy away from the thoughts. Sometimes we identify so much with the movie that we forget about Her. All of our practices help to increase the Goddess's weapons. For example: The mantras we recite are the soldiers and they battle with the spear of concentration. Everytime we chant with this determination, with pranayama and asan, each exhalation of our breath helps us in the battle against negative thoughts. The Chandi is a process. It is the evolution of one's own personal transformation. As our understanding increases we become more like Her.
Guest guest
Yes, that is a precious perspective and so well expressed. I am heartened by its clairity and congruence. It makes me feel, despite interminttent setbacks, that my efforts with these practices are not wasted and that I am on the right track. Thank you. , "parvati_saraswati" <parvati_saraswati> wrote: > Chandi Chapter 2 > > Swamiji outlined the generals in the army of the great ego that > are in Chapter 2 of the Chandi. > ciksura-devoid of clear understanding > camaras-fickleness > udagra- haughtiness > mahaahanuh-the great deceiver > asilomaa-want of resolutions > baaskalo-memories of selfish desires > parivaritah-wandering to and fro > bidaalakyo-finding faults, hypocrisy > > The first to attack is ciksura-devoid of clear > understanding who doubts all of this knowledge.
