Guest guest
Greeting the Morning Early one morning, I was seated in front of Lord Shiva at His outdoor temple at the Devi Mandir. I felt a deep yearning to do puja, but I was a new devotee and I did not know how. I offered a flower and some water with a simple Om Namah Shivaya. Then I sat down and began chanting the Napesvara Suprabhatam Stotram (simple morning prayers). While I was trying to concentrate on the stotram, I still felt an underlying yearning to be doing puja for my Lord. To increase my concentration, I closed my eyes. When I opened them, I saw an amazing sight. Shree Maa was offering puja to the Great Lord right in front of me. For a while, she was chanting the puja and I was chanting the strotram at the same time. When I finished, I fell down at her feet and a voice inside of me was saying "Oh Mother, I don¹t deserve your grace. I am a bad child." When I got up, she was smiling a blissful smile. She motioned for me to come to her side. She pointed out the moon and said "see, the moon is still up". Then, she asked me to sweep the temple platform and she gracefully returned up the steep path to the Hawan Kund. The experience left me filled with bliss. I realized that I truly had a Mother who could answer my prayers and who granted Her Grace even to those who did not deserve it.
Guest guest
Ardis, I think it must be true that in this life there is nothing that surpasses the beauty of the grace and love of the gurudeva. Guest guest
So true, Chris. Shree Maa emanates such graceful beauty and sweet maternal love. Swamiji shines like the sun and worships with total absorption in the Divine. To be their child is my deepest joy. Guest guest
ardis that is very intense. you saw her, as distinct from a contemplative vision of the imagination? that is said to be some very advanced work, you are on the way to the vision of the absolute infinite god. ah such a life. praises to you, great work. keep your pure heart. ardis you seem familiar to me. maybe we were sadhus in some other realm. or, maybe i smoked too much california ganga in the 80's! either way, you are a delight. peace, om shalom. steve c. , Ardis Jackson <anandamama@e...> wrote: > Greeting the Morning > > Early one morning, I was seated in front of Lord Shiva at His outdoor temple > at the Devi Mandir. Guest guest
Ardis, When Swamiji is in the bhava (Idon't know what else to call it) I think he looks like the personification of Agnideva, esp. with his red hair and the way his beard appears to radiate outward from his face. And he does shine! Like the sun. Chris , Ardis Jackson <anandamama@e...> wrote: > So true, Chris. > > Shree Maa emanates such graceful beauty and sweet maternal love.
