Dear Latha Nanda,

In the introduction to Lalita-sahasranama-stotram, you can also

see the Lamityadi-pancapuja....(Worship of the Five Elements). The

five elements are listed here,as well as the bijas associated with

them (and, so, the chakras in the body)...so you are offering

yourself as well, when you are offering the five elements.

Swamiji, I hope this information is "correct", as this is my

understanding from Sri Chakra Puja.

best love,

sadhvi

PS: Ardis: thank you for the lovely post about puja and Bingo...for

your poetic sadhu vision. I still have these thoughts of the Maha

Kumbha Mela in 2001, every once in a while....wishing I could have

wrapped a blanket around and walked away into that crowd...but, here

I am!

this heart do we merge. ay yi yi then at the axis of universes we

reside. blessings to you. steve c.

Hari Om Swamiji and Divine Family,

I have a question about lineage. I understand there to be five main

lineages established by Shankaracharya. I am drawn to those teachers

from the Saraswati lineage, as I believe you are also a part of this

line. Also a part of this lineage are my beloved Satgurus Sri Swami

Satchidananda Maharaj and Master Sivandaji Maharaji. Swamiji, could

you please explain a little bit about these lineages and why they

were formed? Is it important to stay within one's lineage and if so,

why? I do understand that All are One, and the essential teachings

and scriptures are for everyone's benefit, but I've been holding this

question for some time in hopes that you could help me understand.

Thank you so much for being in my life!

Jai Maa!

Sweet Blessings to All,

Lynne

Sadvi,

Wow, you got to go...I so wanted to, but it was not to be.

However I take some consolation from being anointed with the sacred

water the following summer. Swamiji had opened a bottle someone had

given him and was scattering it about at the crowd at the retreat up

here. I got a huge drop right in the eye.

It may be silly, but I felt Mother was giving me consolation for my

feeling of loss at not being able to go.

Her Children...In the most unexpected ways and at the most unexpected times.

i have always held shankaracharya in gratest repsect, since first

being introduced via ramana maharshi's recorded talks.

might i also ask something, who does shankaracharya consider a

sannyasin?

spiritual wanderers who are of no lineage ... are they incarnated

from a lineage they themselves are unaware of, or is it possible to

grasp shanracharya's intent directly?

peace and thank you,

Thank you so much Swamiji for this information. Is it then advisable

to stay within a particular lineage? If so, why? What was the

purpose of these tribes? I would appreciate any information you have

on this.
