Guest guest
namaste dolly hi my name is steve ... that is such a moment you witnessed ... i imagine having seen this, you have some nice experience of the power and beauty of lingams. i do not know much at all ... just a baby-beginner ... i have a question for you, or anyone who wishes to help ... is there a good place you like, to locate a lingam one can place in one's temple? i was fortunate to have siddhananda instruct me in the shiva puja. the book is on the way ... we will be locating the lingam and other items. such things seem to be the happiness of carrying out a devotee's tasks for shiva. a friend gave me a very small one a while back i can also use. love to all, peace, happiness ... pranams to the sustaining light we share ... steve c. , Lall and Dolly Singh <dolly8655> wrote: > OM NAMAH SHIVA > > Hello All > > I was away and just return from Guyana where a miracle took place. Guest guest
Dear Steve, That sounds like a good idea to continue to use the lingam that you already have until another finds it way to you. Swamiji has told us that when we start doing puja the items will come to us. Continue to do the puja with whatever items you have and see what happens. May Lord Shiva continue to inspire you towards greater devotion. This reminds me of 2 stories: One time Shree Maa was walking in one place here in the Bay area and saw a rather large stone that looked like a Shiva lingam. Of course it was too big for her to lift up so she had several devotees bring that stone to the Mandir. It was installed and she worshipped at that lingam for many years. Since then the lingam has found another great home where it is worshipped daily. Another story is about a young boy named Sridar who one day went down to the banks of the Kshipra river in Ujain and found a stone in the water that looked like a Shiva lingam so he picked it up and started to worship it with so much devotion that Lord shiva appeared and gave him a boon. This happens to be one of the places of the 12 jyotir lingams called MahaKaaleswara. , "bingo_ridley" <bingo_ridley> wrote: > namaste dolly > > hi my name is steve ... that is such a moment you witnessed ... i > imagine having seen this, you have some nice experience of the > power and beauty of lingams. > > i do not know much at all ... just a baby-beginner ... i have a > question for you, or anyone who wishes to help ... is there a > good place you like, to locate a lingam one can place in one's > temple? > > i was fortunate to have siddhananda instruct me in the shiva puja. > the book is on the way ... we will be locating the lingam and other > items. such things seem to be the happiness of carrying out a > devotee's tasks for shiva. > > a friend gave me a very small one a while back i can also use. > > love to all, peace, happiness ... pranams to the sustaining light we > share ... > > steve c. > > , Lall and Dolly Singh > <dolly8655> wrote: > > OM NAMAH SHIVA > > > > Hello All > > > > I was away and just return from Guyana where a miracle took > place.
