Guest guest
TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THERE ARE NO 108 NAMES OF SRI RAMAKRISHNA. AT PRESENT HE IS KNOWN AMONGST DEVOTEES AS 'THAKUR', 'ATMARAM' AND 'RAMAKRISHNA' CHAITANEYA , "parvati_saraswati" <parvati_saraswati> wrote: > Please check with the Vedanta society. > > > , "Maureen Nielson" <mnielson@n...> > wrote: > > Namaste, > > Does anyone have the 108 Names of Ramakrishna? > > > > Thanks, > > Maureen > > - > > Latha Nanda > > > > Sunday, February 22, 2004 12:31 PM > > Happy Birthday Ramakrishna !!! ...... > Question at the end > > > > > > Chaitaneyaji - you are correct ! > > > > Today (22nd Feb this year) is Ramakrishna's birthday ! > > > > Here are a few things we can do to please Ramakrishna > > > > 1) Do the Kali Puja - Ramakrishna was a Kali devotee, and surely > he > > will be pleased with us if we pray to Her. > > > > 2) Offer his favorite Sweet - Jelabi - available in most Indian > > stores if you cant prepare them. > > > > 3) Offer an eggplant dish - Thakur loved eggplants. Guest guest
In the introduction to the Sri Ramamkrishna Sahasra Nam Stotram, there is a reference to 108 names collected from the hymns composed by Swami Vivekananda. Professor T.A. Bhandarkar composed a hymn in Sanskrit verse called Sri Ramakrishna ashtottara nama stotram with a Bengali translation. I have never seen it, so I don't know if it is in Devanagri or just Bengali. I imagine it should be available from Ramakrishna Mission, Madras. , "Maureen Nielson" <mnielson@n...> wrote: > Namaste, > Does anyone have the 108 Names of Ramakrishna? > > Thanks, > Maureen > - > Latha Nanda > > Sunday, February 22, 2004 12:31 PM > Happy Birthday Ramakrishna !!! ......
