Guest guest
Hi, I am a passive reader of the group. As a devotee of Sri Ramakrishna, I would like to share his uniqueness as a Master. One of his young disciple lived with the master one day. He was about to leave in the night, but Sri Ramakrishna told him to stay with him. In the middle of the night, the disciple woke up to see Sri Ramakrishna missing. As a common man, he thought that Sri Ramakrishna might have gone to the nahabat where Sri Maa stays. He wanted to clarify his doubt, so he came out of the room and was standing looking towards the nahabat, expecting to catch the master red handed. After a while he saw the master coming from the direction of tree groove, where he answered his nature's call. Ashamed for his thought, he bent his head. The master asked him the reason why he was standing outside the room in the middle of the night. The disciple was sincere and expressed his doubt to the master. Instead of getting hurt, the master told him "that's good!!. You should test your guru not only in the day but also in the night. Don't feel bad about it.". The master didn't have even a light trace of ego in him. He offered everything to Maa Kali and was a sweet child of hers. One more experience with the Master: He always told people to refrain from "woman and gold" i.e. conquer lust and greed. Swami vivekananda wanted to see if the master was true to his word or is he preaching like any other preacher? One day when several devotees were enjoying conversation with the master, the master went out of his room for few minutes. Swami vivekananda, slid a coin under the mat of the master. The master returned to sit on the mat and he jumped as if he was bitten by a snake. Nobody knew the reason, so they removed the mat and searched it. They found a coin under the mat. The master explained that that was the reason why he was not able to sit on the mat and he smiled looking at Swami vivekananda. How unattached was he to this world. I bow down again and again to Sri ramakrishna, who is the best of all avataras of the Lord. Pranams, Prasad.
