Guest guest
hi latha ... thanks again for all this, it is a joy coming here and reading. here is my question of the day ... for people like me, who are just learning the shiva puja [day 4] ... and who live far away from Napa ... can you suggest an appropriate mode of participation in Navaratri ... a sankalpa or particular mantra ... or is that best left to the individual? i will perhaps fast or something on that order, or get some idea from the posts here. here is something you might enjoy, latha. i am doing the shiva puja, and i do not live alone, so i have to integrate that into my family life. well, my wife is jewish and i had a feeling she looked at me funny when i was working on the memorization out loud, on the mat with a blanket thrown over my head and shoulders ... yes indeed, i was right, i did remind her of a rabbinical scholar busy at his prayers ... and i was happy to hear that did not bother her a bit, and she was happy with me. om shalom! steve c.
