Namaste All,

I have a certain way of chanting and today a doubt arose whether I

was doing it correctly. I wanted to share it with the forum.

When I chant the Chandi with a group I usually chant 2 verses to a

breath . Chapter 1 , to those that are familiar has a lot of single

verses followed by the usual two line verses.

For example

nityaiva saa jaganmurtis ....

is followed by

tathaapi tat samutpattir...

devaanaam kaarya siddhyartham ...

and

utpanneti tadaa loke ...

yoganidraam yadaa vishnur ...

When I chant two verses to a breath, and assuming I started

with "nityaiva saa" , then I stop after "utpanneti tadaa loke " .

This completes my 2 verses to the breath. And I take the next breath

and start with "yoganidraam ..." and continue. I am advised to

complete the entire shloka as I am not supposed to leave a stanza

halfway. Is this true ? Any suggestions?

Jai Maa

Latha
