Guest guest
Namaste Steve, It was fun to hear of your chanting experience and the "looks" that you got . Keep going ! Keep at it ! And come back and tell us about it ! Regarding the sankalpas that you can take for Navaratri .... you can start small or you can start big. It is upto your mental makeup really. In my personal case, I am a "do" or "die trying" kind of person - so doing the entire Chandi at one shot was the kind that I thrive on. But to be fair I had already nibbled some of it before I decided to go all the way with Chandi. If you want to take a sankalpa, take some thing that you can sustain for the 9 days. Here is a list of suggested Sankalpas for Navaratri and hoping people can chime in as well Small size Sankalpa - to be followed for 9 days 1) One maala of the Navarna mantra everyday 2) Chant the 32 names of Durga or Siddha Kunjika stotram once a day Medium Size Sankalpa 1) Beginner Durga Puja for the 9 days 2) 11 times of 32 names of Durga and 11 times of Siddha Kunjika stotram 3) Chanting Kavach, Argala, Kilakam or doing the entire Prayog of the Chandi Large Size Sankalpa 1) Doing the Seedha Path of chandi 2) The entire Chandi - cover to cover Super Size Sankalpa 1) What ever Swamiji does, plus fasting , plus Gawd knows what else !
