Guest guest
http://www.hornyforgod.com/new_releases/new_release_shv.html Remarkable! The book I am reading on this remarkable Yogi, of which this is a small summary excerpt, is just pure Nectar. I've wanted to read it for over 15 years and finally got an out of print copy. Enjoy! Guest guest
shivapuri baba was the real mccoy, as far as i can see. last night i played a tape i just received this week. it is a dialogue of QA between him and John Bennet in India. probably from the 60s or so. it is very detailed in terms of the various disciplines, morality, seeing god, etc. yes no question about it, the books on him are remarkable. most are out of print. steve c. , "Mahamuni" <mahamuni@c...> wrote: > http://www.hornyforgod.com/new_releases/new_release_shv.html > > Remarkable! Guest guest
Surya there is also "the right life, the teachings of shivapuri baba" by renu lal singh, published by coombe springs press. such wonderful teachings. such dedication. it is up to the seeker to know god. this he keeps before you at all times. the basis to support this meditation is the right life, which includes the moral disciplines as exemplified in chapter 16 of the gita. but i am sure you have read all that. the link for the tape is: http://www.bennettbooks.org/JGBTapes.html#OT if you dig around there, you can find another link to an online ordering catalog. trying to get them on the phone was not so easy, i found. over the years, the book you have, has provided excellent guidance. you have to read carefully to determine where bennet starts extrapolating, as he is not so careful with the usage of quotation marks. the tape is shivapuri baba's actual voice as he is interviewed. there are 2 tapes, i have only listened to one side so far. his voice is surprisingly strong considering his age. btw an aside. something very wonderful. the teachings and practices of shree maa and swamiji seem to provide an opportunity to practice that is completely in accordance with the shivapuri baba's recommendations. the beauty is, we build this stronger mind via devotions and japa, sankalpas, etc., with shivapuri baba's over- riding purpose "to see god." this purpose is of the ultimate, and all of life becomes organized to support solving this all- containing "problem" ... it is soon seen that this is no problem in the normal relative sense, and contemplating it is itself a joy, meditation, and deepening peace. very much keeping in mind i am a newcomer to shree maa and swamiji, my personal observation is, these teachings appears to be mutually supportive. steve c. , "Mahamuni" <mahamuni@c...> wrote: > Was the tape of an actual recording between the two or a reading of what was written in the book from their meeting? Was it Shivapuri Baba Himself speaking? If so, can you make me a copy or tell me where I can get one? > - > bingo_ridley > > Monday, March 01, 2004 9:49 AM > Re: link to info on Shivapuri Baba > > > shivapuri baba was the real mccoy, as far as i can see. > > last night i played a tape i just received this week. it is a > dialogue of QA between him and John Bennet in India. probably from > the 60s or so. it is very detailed in terms of the various > disciplines, morality, seeing god, etc. > > yes no question about it, the books on him are remarkable. most are > out of print. > > steve c. > > > > , "Mahamuni" <mahamuni@c...> wrote: > > http://www.hornyforgod.com/new_releases/new_release_shv.html > > > > Remarkable!
