Guest guest Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 good morning. here is what i learned about Navaratri. please correct wherever I am going wrong. on the 1st 3 days, Durga is worshipped. this shakti destroys negative tendencies. yes bring it on Durga. i think of the photo of swamiji's head in sahib sadhu. please take this head too. Lakshmi is the goddess of the middle 3 days. she replaces the negative with the divine qualities as expressed in chapter 16 of the Bhagavad Gita. the last 3 days ... ah Saraswati! the essence of bhakti leading to jnana, the essence of knowledge, self-knowledge, truth.
