Guest guest
Dear Karen, The yagya in the Advanced Shiva Puja is more comlex than than the one in the Hanuman Puja because it involves establishing the fire on a yantra. First it is important to learn the basic beginning mantras in the Hanuman puja book which begin on page 152 with the mantra "ete gandhapuspe vahneryogapiithaaya namah." All of the mantras in the Hanuman puja book are also in the Advanced Shiva book. We will not concern ourselves with the offering of the flag and the food in the Hanuman Puja book now as this is specific for Hanuman and right now the purpose is to learn how to start a basic fire. I hope this will have helped to answer your questions.
