Guest guest
A few short years ago Maa and Swami were touring the US with a band that was affectionately called themselves "The Bhava Dudes " . They stopped at many of the major cities and delighted their audience with Maa's singing, Swamiji's storytelling, the dancing and the bhajans and the bhav and the yellin "JAI MAA" ! Aah such great times ! And they were captured by a diligent videographer and compiled in an interesting video titled "Across the United States with Shree Maa and Swami" . The video is available at http://www.shreemaa.org/video.htm One small story from the video is now available at http://www.shreemaa.org/media.htm The story is titled "Two Men and a Prostitute" . Guest guest
Another related story called "ARE YOU STILL CARRYING HER?" that I read on the web ...Wanted to share it with the group. ==================================================== Two celibate monks were once travelling on a muddy road. A heavy rain was falling. Coming around a bend, they saw a lovely girl unable to cross the intersection. "Come on girl", said the first monk. He lifted her at once and carried her over the mud to a clean sidewalk. The second monk didn't say anything until that night when they reached a lodging temple. Then he could no longer restrain himself. "We are taught not to go near females, especially young and lovely ones who might tempt us," said he, "it is dangerous. Why did you carry that girl?" "I left the girl there", said the first monk, are you still carrying her?"
Guest guest
how we carry karmic events, that is a complex matter. i have had dreams of an old girlfriend for a long time. you could say, i must be quite strong [attached] to carry her so far. i had yet another dream a couple nights ago ... BUT! this time, in that waking-up state [before the mind kicked in] i had a direct experience the love itself was not karmic, but was sourced in the divine mother ... the love itself is grounded in the infinitely affectionate heart of the goddess, no matter what the outer form. instead of the usual feeling of disquietude, i felt the source as HER, for me -- Shree Maa. , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Another related story called "ARE YOU STILL CARRYING HER?" that I > read on the web ...Wanted to share it with the group. > > ==================================================== > Two celibate monks were once travelling on a muddy road.
