Guest guest
Actually Anasuya was the mother of Dattatreya, not Annapurna. She was the daughter of Daksha and wife of Atri Rishi. But I am not an Akhara sadhu. Our ashram, Devi Mandir, is independent from any math. Although we have blessings from many maths and akharas, we are not affiliated, nor is our curriculum dictated by any other organization. The Nath sampradaya is extremely well-versed in the history of the maths and Akharas. Our Saraswati sampradaya is more concerned with scripture and sadhana, than with history. , "Mahamuni" <mahamuni@c...> wrote: > She is the Mother of Dattatreya, the first Avadhuta and incarnation of Brahman, Vishnu and Shiva. > > Does Nirajani Akhara trace their lineage back to Dattatreya as well? > > Pranams, > > Surya > - > swami_satyanandasaraswati > > Tuesday, March 09, 2004 3:15 PM > Re: Annapurna puja-March 28 .... > > > We will perform it at the homa before the evening arati at 6 PM. > > > , "rudran2" <stechiekov> > wrote: > > Is there a Best PST clock time to recite the Annapurna 1000 on > Sunday > > March 28? Guest guest
I'm sorry Swamiji, You are correct of course. Don't know why I mixed those two Maharanis up. Thank You for Your answer regarding the Maths and Akharas. I know very little so excuse my infant curiousity.
