Parvati, one more, on learning Sanskrit

In the Shiva Puja, there are two lines of script, they appear as,

one in bold, and one in a lighter weight, as if there are two

different version of Sanskrit(?) ... the lighter one appears as if,

this might be a cursive version, one that a person might emulate if

one was writing out the sloka by hand?

 

Your opinion, if you wish to share it: if one wanted to learn

Sanskrit, for devotional purposes only, as related to the Chandi

Path, do you suggest sticking with studying the texts as given, or

additionally, take further steps with some sort of language studies?

Or is that additional effort a distraction, in your opinion?
