Today I finally began in earnest to read the Chandi Path. I secluded

myself in a coffee shop, and read the very illuminating

Introduction, and a few pages of the Chandi Path itself.

I then flipped ahead, and landed on a page (I see now it is in

chapter 1, as Latha referred to) about the "King of Good thoughts"

who was expelled from his kingdom by the Destroyers of Worship.

He went to the forest and met a Rishi. He also met Pure Intuitive

Perception, who was undergoing similar woes. Due to attachments,

both were suffering great pain.

The Rishi told them of the Divine Cause, and of Union, and the two

foes, Too Much and Too Little, who arose from the dirt of Perception.

Creative Capacity (Ruler of Beings) saw them coming, and began to

pray to Divine Union, who was sleeping. The Eternal awoke, and did

battle with Too Much and Too Little for 5,000 years.

The Lord said, if you are satisfied with me, then you will both be

slain now ... what other wish could you have? The Two Thoughts saw,

the world was almost destroyed by their strife.

"Kill us in that place, where there is no desire."

And so it was done, Too much and Too Little were killed.

So how to give birth our own King of Good thoughts?

>From this tale, I cannot say ... all I can derive is, how to make

his kingdom safe for his return. This appears to require the defeat

of Too Much and Too Little. And this execution will take place where

there is no desire.

You can supplement the Chandi Path with the Study of Chapter 1 - a

new book available - where Swamiji breaks each sanskrit verse into

the words and explains in detail. He is working on the next chapters

as well, but the study of Chapter 1 is enough to keep us busy for a

while.

Way to Go , Bingo ! Welcome to the Chandi team !
