I got up this morning worried about an event that I had no control over. My mind

was reeling with "if this happens, then I will do this, else I will say this

....."

I...I...I...I...

Then I got into my scheduled Shiva puja . I started with "Om Sadaashivaaya

vidmahe ..." - "I meditate on the Consciousness of INFINITE Goodness " and then

felt a burst of relief.

I am not in control , He is .

I am not responsible for the outcome , He is.

Why am I worrying over events when everything is happening EXACTLY

how He wished it ?

Who am I to question the wisdom of a higher power ?

Everything is His desire and I only should not resist. It is the resistance that

causes the pain. The resistance that wants everything to go the way I like, the

way that will suit ME.

And then I was at peace.

Nothing new you would think. All the ideas that I have heard for a long long

time. Only this time these thoughts came to me the moment I needed it the most,

the moment I needed the perspective.

I sincerely believe the phrase "I meditate on the Consciousness of Infinite

Goodness" was the activator. And that was because of the regular practice of

worship that I have been striving to have in my schedule.

It is TRUE. Whether we know it or not, whether the feelings are

dramatic or not, those words are working at a deeper level.

The regular daily dose of Worship is the best medicine to the ills of

the mind.

Thank you, Lathananda!

We need to be reminded always that (more) worship is the answer, the

greatest illuminating and healing activity.

Those moments when we admit our own powerlessness--when we realize

that we did not write the script, but God did--are paradoxically the

most powerful moments. It is then that we are most fully open to the

Parashakti of healing and growth. When we relinquish our will,

Divine Will can move in us.

It's a hard lesson that somewhere in some lifetime I will finally

get right.
