Guest guest
Attendees :- Rick, Kalachandra, Kali , Latha Topic discussed 1) General introduction 2) Brahmaadhi Sapa Vimochana Chapter in the Chandi - Why the curses ? Each person gave their viewpoint on the curses. Latha gave a brief overview of this chapter - Each bija is associated with each of the chapters in the Chandi - "hrim" is the bija of Chapter 1, "shrim" for chapter 2 and so on - Each verse summarizes in one line each chapter, that is why Swamiji refers to the entire chapter as a "Table of Contents" Kalachandra mentioned a good point : - The purpose is the attainment of all imperishable qualities, so budhi is the destroyer of the great ego, humility is destroyer the self conceit, faith is the grantor of every fruits, etc Rick wanted to know :- there are 20 verses, but only 13 chapters. Do they (the bijas) repeat? Kali responded with :- the bija at 14 refers to unfastening the bolt , 15 - 108 names of Durga, 16 armor of the Goddess, vs 17 - praises to the Goddess, vs 18 Siddha Kunjika Stotram. Swamiji , can you please comment on Kali's and Kalachandra's responses ? Also , how is Thirst related to Passion and Anger then ? (Verse 7) Also Kali had a question - How does this (the Table of Contents ) compare to the mantra for the removal of curses on pgs 46 and 47? Swamiji can you please comment on Kali's question ? Kali had another question on sankalpas - When making sankalpa for say 10 days, is the sankalpa repeated daily or just that once. Latha responded with :- if we mention it the first time that we are taking one for next 10 days, that is sufficient. Swamiji can you please confirm that my answer was correct? We are planning to meet next week to discuss Chapter 1 of the Chandi. Everyone is welcome. JAI MAA Latha
