Guest guest
hellow family i feel very strongly about calling this group my Family we share classes together we recite 32 names of duga maa, share experiences we encounter and specially we share devine thoughts during this wonderful time of Navratri, I wonder if i was possible to recite Chandi Path as one big family,i would like to sugest to all of u and specially to Latha and Parvati. My sugestion is if we can all devide the chapters between us and someone does sankalpa as a group, use 24Hr+ to resite Chandi so it will be probably one or two chapters per person. The thing to make sure is it happens in time alocated For example: if i am reciting chapet 2 and it takes 2-3 hrs from 8am to 10am depanding on speed of reading and lenth of the chapter no presure at all, then next on line starts chapter 3at 10am and so on. this means we will reciting whole of the chandi as a big family in a one big universe as our house, while mother seating on her throne on top listening. I am not sure if this alowed or not, its just a suggestion. Guest guest
Dear Sanju, I bow to your enthusiasm , sincerity and inspiration. This is what it is ALL about. I am all excited about your idea and would like to know what the others think. While I chant (or try to) everyday, I wud be interested in joining this sankalpa and chant 1 chapter as per your suggestion also. I think the maximum benefit is derived when we each chant atleast the Seedha Path everyday. But when we are beginners - Mother just wants us to learn anyway we can. So we could take a particular chapter/section for nine days , and then rotate so that we get to learn the next sections also. Please let me know what you think everyone - and how we can put to use this excellent "Sanju"stion . Guest guest
Hari Om Latha, I was just thinking this exact same thing! As I read through the Chapter 1 study guide for the Chandi Path I am awestruck at how much I didn't "get" as I chanted the Chandi several times through on my own. To be honest, I had put it down a couple of months ago because I felt that I lacked the proper understanding and my chanting had become alittle mechanical. So my thought was that we could all chant the same chapter every day (whatever time that was convenient) moving thorugh one chapter or section a day-- OR-- Chant the same chapter/section for 9 days, then move on. I would be interested to see what Swamiji thinks about the idea--if it is even advisable. I am enjoying and learning tremendously from the Durga chanting that we are engaged in right now. Guest guest
"....Hari Om Latha, I was just thinking this exact same thing! As I read through the Chapter 1 study guide for the Chandi Path I am awestruck at how much I didn't "get" as I chanted the Chandi several times through on my own. I would be interested to see what Swamiji thinks about the idea--if it is even advisable..." Dear Lynne (and List), This is so interesting. I was just thinking along these lines yesterday...thinking:"Well, it's going to take a long time for me to learn Chandi Path so what I think I will do is keep on with the kavaca and 32 names every day and then take one chapter or section per week and just keep chanting that every day".It seems to take me a while to get into the flow of the meter of each section so focusing on one for an entire week seemed like something that would be less pressured and help me to get comfortable with each section. Then once a month, maybe at full moon time, to chant the text as best I could. Anyway, I see this as a long-term thing..not so easy to encompass as learning the Lalitha Sahasranam! I'll be at the Mahalakshmi Temple in Ashland, MA on Maha Ashtami (Sunday)..thinking of you all when the final offerings are made into the fire. best, sadhvi
