Guest guest
I think we shd try this ONCE and see how it works . How about we attempt this for the Sunday (March 28 as part of our Navarati sankalpa ) as that is the most folks are likely to be free during the day time ? One person can do the first 3 , ie Kushandika upto Navarnah Viddhi. One person each per 13 chapters One person for the last section , ie Navarnah Viddhi upto Arati We have 20 sections - and we need 15 different ppl to volunteer I can start off at 6 AM PST for the first section . So someone needs to volunteer on the hour for each of the following chapters , and unlike the 32 names we have to go be sequential order here Kushandika - with sankalpa -- 6 AM PST Latha Rig Vedoktam Ratri Suktam -- 6 AM PST Latha Navarnah Viddhi -- 6 AM PST Latha Chapter 1 - 7 AM PST - your local time? - Chapter 2 - 8 AM PST - Chapter 3 - 9 AM PST - Chapter 4 - 10 AM PST - Chapter 5 - 11 AM PST - Chapter 6 - 12 noon PST - Chapter 7 - 1 PM PST - Chapter 8 - 2 PM PST - Chapter 9 - 3 PM PST - Chapter 10 - 4 PM PST - Chapter 11 - 5 PM PST - Chapter 12 - 6 PM PST - Chapter 13 - 7 PM PST - Navarnah Viddhi - 8 pm PST - Rig Vedoktam Devi Suktam - 8 pm PST - Siddha Kunjika Stotram - 8 pm PST - Arati - 8 pm PST - So we could be done by 9 PM the same day ? What do you ppl think ? Any modifications to the suggestion above ? Any body would like to take one more than one chapter ? Thank you Sanju for your inspiration . Guest guest
Dear Latha Nanda, I'd like to take the Siddha Kunjika Stotram...mainly because it is my absolute favorite chant in the world. Since I'm on the East Coast, there is a 3 hour time difference...so I'd chant it at 11pm. Otherwise, I will be at the Temple all day Saturday and Sunday and think I shouldn't committ to a daytime...not sure what I might be in the middle of..but I will be home by the late evening on Sunday. If it's ok for me to take the Kunjika, I would be really happy to participate. I'd like to try this another time as well...maybe we could co- ordinate it with a full moon? I think it's a great idea. thanks, sadhvi

Guest guest
Namaste Dan and all, I am referring to the book Chandi Path by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. The RgVedoktam Devi Suktam in this book starts on page 317 and goes upto 319. If you are looking for it in any other version of the Chandi aka Devi Mahatmyan aka Saptasati, look for this section after the core 700 verses. Guest guest
Latha, I can take the 9am PST any chapter. Maybe doing it once would be a good test. Namaste, Lynne - Latha Nanda Wednesday, March 24, 2004 4:24 PM Take the Smallest Chandi I think we shd try this ONCE and see how it works . How about we attempt this for the Sunday (March 28 as part of our Navarati sankalpa ) as that is the most folks are likely to be free during the day time ?One person can do the first 3 , ie Kushandika upto Navarnah Viddhi. One person each per 13 chaptersOne person for the last section , ie Navarnah Viddhi upto AratiWe have 20 sections - and we need 15 different ppl to volunteerI can start off at 6 AM PST for the first section . So someone needs to volunteer on the hour for each of the following chapters , and unlike the 32 names we have to go be sequential order hereKushandika - with sankalpa -- 6 AM PST LathaRig Vedoktam Ratri Suktam -- 6 AM PST LathaNavarnah Viddhi -- 6 AM PST LathaChapter 1 - 7 AM PST - your local time? - Chapter 2 - 8 AM PST -Chapter 3 - 9 AM PST -Chapter 4 - 10 AM PST -Chapter 5 - 11 AM PST -Chapter 6 - 12 noon PST -Chapter 7 - 1 PM PST -Chapter 8 - 2 PM PST -Chapter 9 - 3 PM PST -Chapter 10 - 4 PM PST -Chapter 11 - 5 PM PST -Chapter 12 - 6 PM PST -Chapter 13 - 7 PM PST -Navarnah Viddhi - 8 pm PST - Rig Vedoktam Devi Suktam - 8 pm PST - Siddha Kunjika Stotram - 8 pm PST - Arati - 8 pm PST - So we could be done by 9 PM the same day ?What do you ppl think ? Any modifications to the suggestion above ? Any body would like to take one more than one chapter ? Thank you Sanju for your inspiration .JAI MAALatha--- In , "bingo_ridley" <sconnor@a...> wrote:> can you guys clarify, is it the same time each day for a number of > days? and each recitation is about how long?> > steve> > --- In , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> > wrote:> > Dear Sanju,> > > > I bow to your enthusiasm , sincerity and inspiration.
