Guest guest Posted March 29, 2004 Report Share Posted March 29, 2004 for so many dubious reasons western culture "decided" the gods were not great and admirable, and disparaged them ... and among a billion other things, created psychology, and various self-help methods to repair ego ... when the gods existed as powerful accelerators of growth, compelling shapers of vision, providing something great to reach for within ourselves? we envision what we are in potential ... but, if we do not have a truly compelling vision -- such as the gods provide -- what can we envision, but modified versions of what we already are? we reach beyond ourselves ... to what? where? i adjust my vision somewhat ... they call this sadhana ... ah! there she is! and there is hanuman! there are so many manifestations here! as the mind goes, so we follow, so the world follows. where we look, we go; mechanics. then we look past this world; divine mechanics. om! the creative capacity!
