Guest guest
For those of you doing Om Namah Shivaya, I thought I might make the following suggestion. I think Swamiji would approve, and I think it will increase the benefits of the mantra japa for anyone who practices it. My suggestion involves establishing the consciousness and bhava of Shiva in the body before doing japa. My experience is that it makes the process of japa go faster, smoother, and with more intensity. There is a Shiva Prana Pratishtha on page 112 of the Shiva Puja and Advanced Yajna book. This is followed by the Kara and Anga nyasas, on pages 114 and 115, respectively, and one could even do the Japa Prana Pratishtha Sukta, on pages 121-125. Then one can do the japa filled with the bhava of Shiva. Chris

Guest guest
Dear Chris, Thanks alot for the reminder about mantra nyasa etc. I had set up to begin and forgotten about that....and it DOES make a HUGE difference, especially for a very long sankalpa like this. sadhvi
