My humble prostration to holy feet of Swamiji and Shree Maa……………………..

 

Since Swamiji have more than once enlighten us the meaning of the

first section in Chandi Path- Kushandika, allow me to share and learn

from others the inner meaning of Atha Sapta Sloki Durga ( Seven

Verses That Express The Essence of She Who Relieves All Difficulties

) .Please join me with your comments and experience on this verse as

Om Sang Saraswatyai Namaha

 

Lord Siva requested for means of success in perfecting all desires

in this Age of Darkness and the answer came in 7 verses. This

summarized the essence of Chandi Path recitation, that is why

Swamiji says in his Chandi Class “Seven verses from Chandi which

really communicates the most bhava. What She is. Who She is and why

we are doing this. Where we are going with this “

 

Verse 1

 

She ,this Supreme Goddess , the Great Measurement of Consciousness

,attracts the perceiving capacity of all sensible beings with such a

force as to thrust them into the ignorance of egotistic attachment

 

The statement clearly states who she is (Supreme Goddess) what She is

( Great Measurement of Consciousness)why we are doing this (She

attracts the perceiving capacity of all sensible beings )where we are

going with this (trying to perfect all our desires to understand and

go beyond the ignorance of egotistic attachment )

 

Again and again we see Maa assisting us in understanding this cardinal

truth throughout Chandi Path.We see how King and Samadhi talks to the

sage Medha Muni on their attachment in chapter one .The sage

explaining the cause of this is none other than Mahamaya-the Divine

Mother Herself . And the rest of the chapters explain the means

resorted by the devas to overcome this attachment and other forcesof

duality that went against their union with Her. Finally we see how

both this individuals doing sadhana to perfect their desire as well

 

This made me humbly understand why Swamiji calls Chandi Path as

practical training manual . It does not only share with us who truly

Maa is but a methodology to perfect our desire to go beyond our

attachment that is in union with Her as well …………………….
