Guest guest
Namaste to all, Since the Kavach is a nyasa, establishment within, one can touch the various parts as described in the mantra: see database. EX: when it says in verse 25: dantan raksatu kaumari...touch your teeth or point to your teeth since dantan is teeth. Touch your chin when you say cibukam in verse 26, etc. Swamiji says that as we do this practice we witness the Goddess coming alive in the various parts of the body. After a while he says that you just recite the mantra and feel the Goddess in that place.
Guest guest
great parv, thanks for teh tip, i will try that one for sure. i have been doing something similar w/hanuman, feeling him within me as i walk, etc. this is intuitive on my part, inspired by a few brief words by maa. if any comment on that sort of thing, go for it. i notice i have some intuitive practices that aren't expressly in any text as a discrete method i know of, that are very powerful. it is this "becoming" hanuman, and prayer, calling out to god/goddess, etc. i mean, they are out there as ideas, but not detailed practice, as in the recitations. pranams to you, parvati. steve , "parvati_saraswati108" <parvati_saraswati108> wrote: > Namaste to all, > Since the Kavach is a nyasa, establishment within, one can touch the > various parts as described in the mantra: see database. Guest guest
Great idea! One should make sure they dont actually touch their teeth or touch any body parts below the navel during recital. , "parvati_saraswati108" <parvati_saraswati108> wrote: > Namaste to all, > Since the Kavach is a nyasa, establishment within, one can touch the > various parts as described in the mantra: see database.
