Guest guest
I was having my hair done today in a place I had not gone before, with a new stylist. We chatted about families and friends, just getting to know one another a bit. I told her that I was a Hindu. She made a remark that it was very difficult for Westerners to become Hindus because we tend to be more intellectual than devotional or mystical. She claimed to have never been drawn to religion. Just before she finished my hair she said an amazing thing. First she asked me if I was a worshipper. I said that I was. She said "where do you worship, at home or at a temple." I said "I worship at home, my home is my temple." She practically jumped up and down for joy. She said that she had been having dreams that within 500 years everyone would worship in their own homes. I told her about Shree Maa and Swamiji and that it was their mission to teach people to do just that. I told her that I am going to start a Women's Spirituality group in June where women can share their paths and practices. She said to be sure to let her know when we start. Wonderful.
