Guest guest
Here are a few ways to keep our pujas interesting . 1) Get kids involved ... to ring the bell during the Shanti mantras, to throw the flowers during puja, to do the Arati 2) Dance during the Arati. Make it vigorous and fun. 3) Buy lots of flowers and flood your altar with them 4) Start off like Swamiji . Sit in the altar, and look at your deities and say "Hello Ladies and Gentlemen" 5) Get friends to visit and have a community puja 6) Before you conclude the puja with Arati - serenade the God with your favorite love song. 7) Memorize the puja . Close your eyes and mentally visualize every step in the puja 8) Take the deity out for a day complete with all the items for a puja. Go to a quiet place outside and set up your temporary altar and do the puja for that day. ( I am thinking of going to the beach and trying this out with the sound of the waves) 9) Make a lot of Prasad and give some to your local soup kitchen 10) Get a wish list from people that want to be prayed for and mention them in your sankalpas. 11) Read aloud the English translation after the sanskrit mantras. .... Can people add in other ways to keep their pujas interesting ...
