Guest guest
Hello, Latha, In your post about the rosary in the Narvara Vidhih, the rosary is discussed. Ever since I learned from Devi Mandir how to use my fingers to count, I have really enjoyed that method and find myself rarely using a mala. Is that okay? Is there a time when it is best to use a mala? Best wishes and warmest regards, Karen The three verses from the "om aim hriim aksha maalikaayai namah" to "....parikalpaya parikalpaya me svaahaa" are for the purification of the rosary beads. When we say "om maam maale mahaamaye ...." we touch the rosary that we are (presumably) wearing and hold it with our right hands.
Guest guest
I too count on my fingers, yet I continue to use my mala of rudraksha beads each and everyday during the "om aim hrim aksa malikayai namah" with its three verses. This fills both the mala and me with energy. I then follow with the mantra recitations of 108 on my fingers, and then end with "om guhyatiguhyagoptri tvam grhanas matkritam japam/ siddir bhavatu me devei tvat prasadan mahesvari//" All the rest of the day it feels really good to be hanging out with the rudraksha mala around my neck. I would not want to go on living without my mala as a companion. It has seen me through many challenges as it has served as a protective filter surrounding me as I have gone about in the world. , "Karen Borak" <karenborak@e...> wrote: > Hello, Latha, > > In your post about the rosary in the Narvara Vidhih, the rosary is discussed.
