Guest guest
Om Sang Saraswati Namah As this week we are looking at The System of Worship with Nine Lettered Mantra , let me share what I could and as usual I love to gather input from rest of my family members here……….. May the Lord of Wisdom be Victorious Swamiji have offered his salutation to Lord of Wisdom-Sri Ganapathi first. This practice we have seen in every work of great rishis in the scriptures. This seem to encapsulate the final observation of any spiritual practice is to obtain inner wisdom of the spiritual practice itself. And that’s what Swamiji shares with us ………..the essence of any of these practices be it path (recitation) puja (worship)or seva (service ) .We see this in his daily life , we see at every moment………….. Truly we are learning the ritual , method of worship , pranayama but what is more important the inner wisdom of such practices . When we say may this wisdom be victorious we are actually appealing to Divine Mother to allow wisdom to prevail within us . During our spiritual practice we go through a lot of hard time (unsystematic breathing, pain in the leg, straight posture , proper intonation and above all SINCERE CONSISTENT EFFORT) Our mind sometimes gets tired ,confused, frustrated( no thanks to Forces of Duality) but we appeal to mother only make wisdom victorious …………… Om Presenting the Highly Efficacious Mantra Of Nine Letters. The Lord of Creation, Preservation, and Destruction are the seers ,Gayathri ,Usnig and Anustup(24,28,and 32 syllables to the verse )are the Meters ;the Great Remover of Darkness, the Great Goddess of True Wealth and the Great Goddess of All Pervading Knowledge are the Deities; Aim is the seed ;Hrim is the Energy ; Klim is the Pin ; for satisfaction of the Great Remover of Darkness, the Great Goddess of True Wealth and the Great Goddess of All Pervading Knowledge , this system is applied in recitation Seer Usually the mantras would have one seer on contrary here we have 3 seers but if we look carefully Swamiji mentioned “Lord of Creation, Preservation and Destruction” . This could also mean the Supreme Being which conduct all the three activities according to the gunas prevalent at that time .And if this mantra come not from Rishi but Supreme Being itself definitely it is considered “Highly Efficacous” Verses Gayathri , Usnig and Anustup seems to clarify the number of verse in a line . Thus it is not fixed like in kavacha or stora. .I realize just like puja ,navarna viddhi do not impose pranayama for it’s practice. And that a good news, is it not ? Aim is the Seed Swami later in The Song that Gives the Key to Perfection(372) defines Aim as energy of Desire Mahasaravathi. I see in the beginning before we recite Chandi Path we need to have the desire to attain them that is why Swamiji have put Atha Vedoktam Ratri Suktam first . To cultivate out desire for unity from duality, so we need to have seed of desire first Hrim is the Energy Again I looked at The Song that Gives the Key to Perfection(372) which states hrim as preservation, energy of action- Mahalakshmi. Once we have started the recitation of the Chandi Path as we have desire to seek unity with Mother we have preserve our desire through action. This is where we were learnt to recite as per Swamiji’s guidance ..Swamiji guidance to cultivate proper posture , breathing and asana and others methodologies are to help us preserve our action to achieve our desire for unity with Mother Klim is the Pin Klim again at page 372 ,Swamiji defines as Destruction which is actually Energy of Wisdom- Mahakali. . Since seed is our desire for unity with Maa and we are able to preserve our energy in action towards unity with Her then here we are talking about destruction of Forces of Duality and this could be done by energy of wisdom. Wisdom of our unity with Her. This would be the fruit of reciting navarna mantra once Maa is satisfied Why recite ? For satisfaction of the Great Remover of Darkness, the Great Goddess of True Wealth and the Great Goddess of All Pervading Knowledge who is none other than our beloved Maa ……………………. Thus, I realize The System of Worship with Nine Lettered Mantra is “Highly Efficacious” way of furthering our cause to seek unity with our beloved Maa. And Chandi Path is an elaboration of this beautiful mantra ………………………… Ok one small question, where have Swamiji revealed this mantra from ? Is it any where from Chandi Chapter One to Chapter Thirteen ?Any body can help???Jai Maa!!! Guest guest
Dear Krishnaji, As usual you reveal your indepth knowledge of the Chandi. Thank you for the beautiful explanation on the relevance of Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi and Mahakali in our inward journeys. Can you please clarify on your question - where has Swamiji revealed the mantra ? Do you mean , where is it revealed in the 13 chapters ? Once Swamiji told me that the Siddha Kunjika Stotram was the explanation / expansion/ exposition of the Navarna Mantra. Guest guest
As usual you reveal your indepth knowledge of the Chandi. Thank you for the beautiful explanation on the relevance of Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi and Mahakali in our inward journeys. Only by grace of Swamiji is this possible . I. My pranam to his holy feet always .............. Can you please clarify on your question - where has Swamiji revealed the mantra ? Do you mean , where is it revealed in the 13 chapters ? Forgive me for the misunderstanding. What I meant was the navarna viddhi is not stated within Chandi Path thus I was wondering which scripture it came from .................. Once Swamiji told me that the Siddha Kunjika Stotram was the explanation / expansion/ exposition of the Navarna Mantra. Yes ,in fact I followed this clue given by Swamiji to understand the "inner wisdom" of narvana viddhi. But from where did this navarna viddhi come from is the question that I was hoping to be answered ?
