Guest guest Posted April 22, 2004 Report Share Posted April 22, 2004 Dear Parvati Saraswati (and Swamiji), It would be hard for me to describe how much it meant to me to receive the information about the inner meaning of 108. I have been really immersed in the Creation Philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism for a number of months and making some books (I do one-of-a-kind artist's books), trying to understand the evolution of the tattvas in a more "hands on" way. Right now, I'm working on a large painting of the consonants of the Sanskrit alphabet (the phonemes), using Andre Padoux's book, "Vac", which is a study of the emmanation of Creation by way of the Sanskrit bijas. This morning I went into my studio and turned on the computer, glanced over at the wall where my painting is set up and kind of "checked it out", looking at what was looking beautiful and what seemed ready to evolve a little more clearly. Then I checked in with you all and there was Parvati Saraswati's message. Swamiji really COMPLETELY connected everything I have been studying since last Fall with what I am immersed in now...it was like a huge lightbulb going off...then I thought, "Oh, tomorrow is Devi's day...and the Devi puja" and then the whole movement through the Sri Chakra took on a new level of meaning. THANK YOU SO MUCH! These multi-layered breakthroughs are such a profound gift. I am SO grateful. Thank you 108 times. This group is a real blessing.
