We first take the sankalpa below to benefit the recipients listed and then chant the mrtyunjaya mantra also listed below. We start at 11 AM PDT - so make sure you convert into your local times and chant the mantra for 21 times - should take us 15 mins or less. Infact , I think the sankalpa - thanks to some wonderful participation and the number of recipients is going to take us longer to read than the actual mantra. Please print out this email/post and read out the sankalpa at 11 AM. Also, I am putting together the list as of 7.30 AM PDT on Monday 26th and I hope that I have NOT left out anyone that wanted to be prayed for or anyone that wanted to chant. If I have, you do not have to post asking me to include you - please include yourself in the list and join in at the time. Contact me separately so that I can include you in the group prayer the following saturday. But when we pray for the world we sure have a lot of people to pray for.... and a few extra minutes spent in calling out the names of our extended family doesnt hurt Here is the mantra below that we will chanting 21 times. TRYAMBAKAM YAJAA MAHE SUGANDHIM PUSHTI VARDDHANAM URVVAA RUKA MIVA BANDHA NAAN MRTYORM MUKSHIYA MAAMRTAAT JAI MAAAAAAA - May we always do what pleases you Maa ! GO GROUP !!!!! Thanks ever and ever to you, Latha, for doing all the intense labor that it takes to organize and type out all this. I really like that we renew the Sankalpa each Saturday.
