Puja Question : Advanced

Namaste All,

A question to everyone out there who knows how to establish a pot.

This is a good chance for people doing beginner pujas to get

acquainted with advanced practices.

What is the significance of establishing a pot in a puja ?

Thank you

JAI MAAA

Latha

PS :- My friend says "To get high of course" -- High in devotion ,

High in wisdom ... High as in the heavens ...

Latha,

In the Shiva Puja and Advanced Yajna, "japa praana pratishthaa

suukta" follows the prana pratishta and nyasa practices. These

practices follow the establishment of the pot (among others) pp.112-

125. The first verse is translated, "Thus has the life force been

established in you, and thus the life force has flowed into you. Thus

to you, God, offering is made, and in this way make us shine." In the

third verse, reference is made to the pot, and the dieties residing

there, as well as the seven rivers, and the vedas (there's a lot in

this pot!).

It seems that the pot can be our own selves, as well as the diety.
