Guest guest
Have you heard about the worldwide epidemic of a viral disease called Affluenza? I heard about it on TV last night. The main symptoms have to do with a concentration on getting and owning more and more products and yet feeling that you never have enough. Some people have a reverse effect and feel that they have too many products and are always holding garage sales to get rid of them or hauling truckloads to the dump. The side effects of Affluenza are really disgusting. The individual has great disdain for all people who do not own as much as they do... soon this develops into a total lack of compassion for anyone not in their social and economic class. When it effects people in power, they see that governments only take care of the rich (those afflicted with Affluenza) and cut all programs that would help the poor. The program did not deal with cures for this disease and its side effects, but I heard that there is a Great Goddess named Chandi who is willing to take on anyone who is afflicted. All they have to do is have a sincere heart and cry out to Her for help. Isn't that amazing? In this world of high technology and modern medicine, there are ancient solutions to our problems. I think I will try crying out to her right now. Mother, Chandi Maa, please listen to my prayer. I live in a world of confusion. I am an American. We think we have all the answers, but we don't. If I sit at your altar and chant your names will you help me get rid of this Affluenza? Will you help me enter the Deep Silence where We are One? Ahhhh. I can feel your Love. Thank you, Dear Mother. Nothing feels better than this. Ardis

Guest guest
have my pie in the sky, after I die. The Goddesses and Gods are real. I really liked what someone out there wrote about Shiva. He should be worshiped out of love. He helps us.. Bless, and blessed be, Belial (also known as Christslayer) and Sabrina. You have OUR Blessing.Kala Chandra <kalachandra2003 .br> wrote: Thanks Ardis! Guest guest
Thanks for letting me know about it. I've already have too much stuff and not enough places to put it all. To make matters worse, stuff keeps coming toward me, so I then find myself giving stuff away. It certainly is a good thing that we can partake of the Chandi as an innoculation against this rather pervading affliction. , Ardis Jackson <anandamama@e...> wrote: > Have you heard about the worldwide epidemic of a viral disease called > Affluenza? Guest guest
hey rudran did you have this experience? i was in my early 20's and noticed i never had anything, or i kept needing things i had just given away, lost, or sold. so i had to buy them all over again. so then i vowed not to get rid of anything. over the years a mountain of stuff built up. now we are moving and it looks bigger than ever. this is not the dwelling of an efficient sadhu! steve , "rudran2" <stechiekov> wrote: > Thanks for letting me know about it. Guest guest
I certainly have given away things that I later found that I had to replace. In more recent times I've found that in doing a certain mantra within the Ganesh Puja on protecting my giving I've since generally given away things only that I am over-abundant in. Lots of clothes come my way. More than I could ever possibly wear, so I find myself with the task of giving my clothing surpluses away with great regularity. It is generally favorable for sadhus to live in the mountains, but not in mountains of clothes or mountains of clutter. Inorder to keep efficient it then behooves the sadhu to make redistrubutions of excess. Rivers keep flowing, and so should we. Those who hoard might get crushed under the weight of their burden. The demond of too much needs to get a trimbing from time to time. , "Steve Connor" <sconnor@a...> wrote: > hey rudran did you have this experience? > > i was in my early 20's and noticed i never had anything, or i kept > needing things i had just given away, lost, or sold. so i had to buy > them all over again. so then i vowed not to get rid of anything. > over the years a mountain of stuff built up. now we are moving and > it looks bigger than ever. this is not the dwelling of an efficient > sadhu! > > steve > > , "rudran2" <stechiekov> > wrote: > > Thanks for letting me know about it.
