Guest guest
Namaste Saswati, Although at Devi Mandir, brass utensils are used - for the offerings (panchamrit) Swamiji uses stainless steel cups that you can wash with normal soap. Regarding the bhog - I have seen mostly rice pudding and fruits offered. If Parvati is reading this, can you please tell us what offerings are ideal to each of the deities - Thank you. Guest guest
Namaste Sashwati, Here is a list of items to offer if you are interested: http://shreemaa.org/article18.htm You can always offer fruit. On the 14th day of the moon(dark and bright fortnight) we offer rice pudding, a little ghee and yogurt to Shiva. Amavasya(new moon) and also full moon we offer rice pudding to Devi. Various sweets and ladoos can also be offered anytime. On the 4th day of the moon we offer special sweets to Ganesh like ladoos and he gets a banana almost on a daily basis. Hope this helps a little.
