Guest guest
Namaste all and Happy Mother's Day to the Divine Mother which resides within all of you. Last night Swamiji discussed Sanskrit and pronunciation. He referred to Ramakrishna and the meaning of vyakulata which is the sincere inner longing of the devotee for God. It is this vyakulata which makes for Sanskrit pronunciation. He told 2 stories which demonstrated how people realized the truth even though they did not pronounce the mantras exactly right. He said the Goddess will give her blessings even if the mantras are not pronounced correctly because of our vyakulata(sincerity and intense inner longing). After some time, naturally we will want to study more and try to make our pronounciation better but in the meantime keep on singing those mantras and remember it is the sincerity and faith which is being offered. Guest guest
parvati please thank swamiji for his support. this is exactly what we need to hear again and again as we focus more and more clearly on what really matters and filter out this maya. thank you too for conveying his message on this very, very fine day of satsang. steve , "parv108" <parv108> wrote: > Namaste all and Happy Mother's Day to the Divine Mother > which resides within all of you. > Last night Swamiji discussed Sanskrit and pronunciation. > He referred to Ramakrishna and the meaning of vyakulata which > is the sincere inner longing of the devotee for God. Guest guest
Yes, it is so hard to remember this sometimes when struggling with the strange sounds, and the tongue stops working effeciently, and the eyes start to lose focus, and the voice is getting a little rough. The effort is almost all there is. But I've found I really enjoy the Oms at the ends of the chapters. If I've forgotten why I'm struggling with this during the struggle, I can express it all in the Om at the end. (Sometimes it seems almost like its a kind of a bindu for the chapter).
