Dear Swamiji,

I noticed in chapter 4 of the Chandi Path, that the meter changes so

there are more syllables to each verse. The meter changes at various

places throughout. What is the purpose of these meter changes?

Thank you!

Pranams to All,

Lynne

Dear Swamiji,

I have a question about puja (or altar) vaastu. I have been

really interested in this subject for a long time and, although I

have found alot of books about Vaastu basics, I haven't found too

much information about how to place the deities for puja or altar.

Most texts will say to face East when you are doing puja but they

will also say that the Deity should face East...so you would be

doing puja to the back of the Deity(!). I have kind of resolved this

by having my main puja in the East/SouthEast of the puja room,

because it "feels right" but I would really really like some

information about this subject. Most especially: which is the "best"

direction for placing Devi Altar? What about Hanuman? Ganesha? Your

teachers or your Guru's photographs? Your Ista Devata? It

really "feels right" when I get up before sunrise, to be facing East

to do puja; that way, the sun is rising above me just as I am making

morning offerings to Surya etc. but I am still not at all sure about

this...could you throw some light on the subject? Is there a

specific text that deals with this subject? I would be very

interested in finding it if this is the case. Thanking you in

advance (this is AMAZING, to be able to ask these questions: thank

you thank you thank you).

with gratitude,

sadhvi

Dear Swamiji and List,

From which Veda are the "shanti" verses in every

sankalpa....beginning with, "om santa dyah santa prthivi ....and

continuing until the end of the sankalpa? I would like to have the

Veda and the location in the Veda, if possible. Perhaps there is

someone in the group who knows this???? I have chanted them for a

long time and realized I don't know their origin. This is such a

beautiful and timely practice for the time we find ourselves in:

chanting these 4 verses.(found, for instance, on pps.34-36 in Cosmic

Puja).

thanks to all.
