Guest guest
Question from Latha :- I am trying to see if there is any link between the Asura and the weapon that is used to slay the Asura. For example, Devoid of Clear Understanding is killed by the Pike of the Goddess, and you have translated the Pike as the pike of attention or concentration (in Chapter 1) . I dont see a direct correspondence ... and I am wondering if I am walking down the right path trying to make this correlation. Is there an inner symbolic significance ? Can you please let me know ? Swamiji's response :- I have never explored from that point of view. It is certainly possible to find correlation, but is it not more of an intellectual exercise? I think it is sufficient to know that all of the divine weapons are used to combat all the negative qualities, and pay attention to watching their destruction, rather than analyzing the method.
