Guest guest
Swamiji, My question today has to do with the Chandi Path itself, your and Maa's sadhanas, and, ultimately all our spiritual work in common. How is it that both you and Shree Maa were reciting the Chandi Path before you met in person? Is this book in popular use among sadhus in India? Did Thakur use this book? How were you both personally introduced to the Chandi Path as a book for recitation and daily reference? We are all one in God. Guest guest
Dear Steve, I believe these questions were partially answered in March - if we have the energy to check our archives. Swamiji said that he got the Chandi before he met Maa, and Maa got it from Ramakrishna. I will forward the unanswered portions to Swamiji. Guest guest
Relatively speaking the Chandi has been a rarity in the English speaking world. It was Swami that brought the sanscrit liturgy to us. Before that the Devi Mahatmyam required recitation directly from the sanscrit caligraphy. Few in the west could do this. In India, Chandi has been recited by committed yogins for many centuries. I first heard of the Devi Mahatmyam in 1971 but could not make practical use of until October 1999 upon my arrival at the Devi Mandir. - In , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Dear Steve, > I believe these questions were partially answered in March - if we > have the energy to check our archives. > Swamiji said that he got the Chandi before he met Maa, and Maa got > it from Ramakrishna. > I will forward the unanswered portions to Swamiji. > Jai Maa > Latha > > , "Steve Connor" <sconnor@a...> > wrote: > > Swamiji, > > > > My question today has to do with the Chandi Path itself, your and > > Maa's sadhanas, and, ultimately all our spiritual work in common. > > > > How is it that both you and Shree Maa were reciting the Chandi > Path > > before you met in person?
