Guest guest
Hi all, The biggest trick to expanding awareness is to feel consciousness in everything. When something goes right, its mother at work. When something goes wrong, its mother at work. When the sun shines on a sunny day, its mother at work. When the rain falls on a cloudy day, its mother at work. Each experience is mother personified specifically for us. It may not make logical sense, or it may make perfect sense, but in the end it is feeling the totality of that truth that expands our awareness. As we move though life under the guise of ignorance, she moves with us. She surrounds us. Its like "The Never Ending Story." The little boy, Sebastian, reading the book momentarily identifies with the lead character of the story, "Atrail" and in that identification loses himself to that identity. It is only through the mutual experience of a drama, of trying to save the dream world -- and almost failing -- that Atrail comes to find his true identity, he is Sebastian, a real boy in the real world. We identify with our dream selves, with the little i am, the ego, and the senses it uses to perceive the dream. Only through our folly, our exploits, our trials, our tribulations, our victories and our losses do we come to know ourselves through the reflection of life around us. Through all that we experience there is a part of us that remains unchanged, and that is our true nature, that is our Sebastian. And it is (s)he who we are learning about in this very moment. The mechanisms of creation, which Vishva Karmine watches over, were created by mother for this great test of consciousness. Can we make a mechanism derived in consciousness aware of its own consciousness and guide it into full awareness? The mind is a mechanism created by millions of years of genetic selection to enable us to survive where others have failed. It's primary function is survival, and ironically, dualistically: to find out what its true nature is, it has to let go of its need for survival and surrender to something perceptively outside itself. This is against the mechanism's main function and is why it seems so very difficult. Literally Chandi Maa throws a monkey wrench into the mechanisms of the mind and breaks them down to show us that we are not our minds. That's what recitation does. And the more you call for her to destroy your mind instead of teaching it, the more power you give her to halt the mechanisms of the mind. To realize that we aren't our minds, we have to simply see that the mechanisms are Maa's machinery for trickery. Once we see it for what it is, once we realize it beyond the mind, we can begin to see the mind itself as part of that mechanism. Please Maa grant me a boon. Please destroy every last egotistical, unharmonious, dark, pointless, mean, and heartless thought and destroy all positive thoughts that I seek to identify with. Leave me in the space between the thoughts, where you reside, within your heart, free of my mental machinery. Love for all, Brian --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
