There is a great story on the birth of Ganga and other stories related to Ganga in the Swami Purana (See Page 181 Bali and the Vaman vatar). http://www.shreemaa.org/bookstore.htm The Swami Purana is a wonderful collection of stories of the Sanatan Dharma- the eternal ideal of perfection. The stories originated from the Vedas and Upanishads and start with the Satya yuga to the beginning of the Kalii yuga. There are many levels of meaning to the stories and they can be shared aloud with the family or friends.
