But speaking from a point of duality, dear brothers and sisters, I know this for sure. If we take a sadhana , ANY sadhana, and keep at it the best we can - we cast our burdens on Her , be courteous and helpful to all, and keep going about our lives, the Goddess helps us and we begin tuning into that help. I dare anyone to try it and come back and tell me if you have NOT been helped. JAI MAA<<<<<<<<<<<< Dear Latha, this is so very interesting!!! Two years ago, the whole idea of asking for anything (boons, changes etc.) disappeared from my practice...it seemed to be "unnecessary", as whatever was happening, no matter how seemingly "awful" or "wonderful" was just what was needed (as I would understand eventually...so I thought, "why not just leave it all up to God"). Then, around two years ago, I became involved, for the first time, with Devi..directly. I had so gotten out of the habit of asking for anything that I continued to do Devi practice (either Sri Vidya or the work we are all doing here together)without thinking too much about what would "come" of it..at the end of each puja or homa or chant or whatever. I even found it hard to pray at night for "ways I might like things to change...health changes or finding a home or whatever" I would start to ask, "please help me to have more energy or for iccha shakti to become stronger...", then I would think, "well, if this is meant to happen, it will happen and meanwhile what IS ..IS, why not just move along as best you can and leave the rest up to Devi?". What I have discovered (and this only became really clear to me this past week) is that boons and changes and shifts that really DO need to happen, are happening almost automatically as I do Devi practice. It seems to me, after almost 40 years of struggling and striving and trying, that this sadhana just "unfolds like a flower", giving you exactly what is needed, when it is needed. Some of the things that have shifted for me are very old and very deep, things I had sort of accepted as "immovable samskaras"...just kind of melting away, sometimes quietly and sometimes quite dramatically. I am finding myself in an almost constant state of amazement...after so many years of so much "effort" to have someONE simply lifting the veils with so much ease and lightness. It seems to me that the "effort" I am making is so much LESS than the effort that I used to make but, even with that, the outflowing of blessings is amazing. best, sadhvi
