Cats must be in the air this week! I just got my current issue

of "Best Friends'"magazine (from the Friends of Animals org.). In

it, there is the greatest photo of a monk in Thailand praying...in

his lap is a vry blissed out looking orange tabby cat and, standing

behind him, holding onto the monk's vishudda chakra with both paws,

is a spotted cat...definitely looking on the verge of realization!

LOL!

Brian,

I loved your definition! I think I'll adopt it as mine, if you

don't mind....also, the story of the Chandi kitten....so

great...thank you for being the kind of person who stopped, picked

up the kitten, took her home and cared for her. What a wonderful

story! What will you name her? What was the name of Durga's mount

again?

best,

sadhvi

Sadhvi,

Thank you for sharing that. Wonderful.

Durga rides a Tiger named Dharma.

We aren't trying to name her yet.

Our cat -- Maurice -- hasn't accepted her and we promised ourselves that if

he doesn't accept her then we'll find her a new home.

The kitty's sleeping on a pillow right now, she laid next to me while

Krista did her Shiva Puja to me.

We gave her a second bath and Krista picked off another dozen or so fleas

(she's got the nack and the nails). We think we got them all. I think this

is the most peaceful sleep she's ever had.

We'll take her to the vet tomorrow and see what he thinks of her condition.

She is really spunky, so I think she'll be okay. The real question is, will

Maurice?

Goddess bless,

Brian
