So here is my question to you - what was your understanding of the Chandi when you started reading or chanting it and what is your understanding of it now ? JAI MAAAAAAAAA !!!!! Guest guest
Latha, I don't know. It's still too soon for me. I haven't spent enough time yet with the meanings. I find myself recognizing bits and pieces of "inner meaning" here and there, but really, I still have very little coherent sense of what Chandi is all about. One can refer to Bhaskara-raya's Guptavati Bhashya and other(like Nagoji bhatti etc.) bhashyas on Chandi Saptashati to get a broader meaning of every verse. Rgds > > JAI MAAAAAAAAA !!!!! Guest guest
i don't know why this is so hard to answer! maybe i am brain-dead. there are so many words in the chandi, i cannot account for most of them. here we go. there is a space. we are heading into that. oh, yes we are. a million things conspire against us. but we will prevail. no! she will prevail. i am ME, HIM, SHE, THEE! there is this battle. the chandi makes this clear. AND it makes clear THE WAY OF THE GODDESS. she is the summation and wish of all the gods for god to manifest. so what is clear. there struggle is clear. as is the might of the warrior goddess. you are her. this is so. the alignment with that is here. so there you go, you look at that. then, looking at that, you become that. the ego is trounced again and again. ow how it bleeds! this is no pretty, cute, sunday afternoon! heads are rolling by the thousands! the battlefield is red! so everything is required. we have to fight it all. the most peaceful person is the one who has defeated all his [inner] enemies. yes! maa is no kitty cat! love, peace, kisses, hugz, pranams, love to all, steve , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Maa said " Each and every word of the Chandi has an inner meaning .." > > I bet the meanings evolve as we do more sadhana . > > So here is my question to you - what was your understanding of the > Chandi when you started reading or chanting it and what is your > understanding of it now ? > > JAI MAAAAAAAAA !!!!! Guest guest
I love "Maa is no kitty cat." Oh how true. But in this battle, we need Durga and Her Lion, Dharma, to fight the battle for us as we surrender at Her feet.
