Guest guest
Namaste Stevie, Swamiji says that the three gunas are in perpetual - sometimes we are called to be sadhaks, sometimes as householders, sometimes as teachers , sometimes as students and sometimes work with a U-Haul truck. May I suggest something ? While it is probably going to be difficult for you to set aside a LOT of time for sadhana , perhaps you could set aside say 5 minutes and do a maala of "om namah shivaya". So you still ARE doing sadhana, just have scaled it back to accomodate for your changes. The main thing is to stay in touch with the sadhana even if it is only 5 minutes. Just stay connected... and call up Lord Shiva for 5 mins each day. Guest guest
really good advice latha, i appreciate it. finally tonight, i got back to the 10 malas of mantra, i think we will be back in the saddle again soon. elana didn't miss much of her daily vow, as it is very fast to do [the 20 mantras.] meanwhile, or if i face this kind of overhwelming distraction again [no doubt, thanks to the gunas!] i will do something rather than nothing. thanks for taking a concern for our spiritual growth. steve , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Namaste Stevie, > > Swamiji says that the three gunas are in perpetual - sometimes we > are called to be sadhaks, sometimes as householders, sometimes as > teachers , sometimes as students and sometimes work with a U-Haul > truck. > > May I suggest something ?
