Guest guest
Krim or Kring is Kali's bija mantra. Bija means seed from which all other mantras for a deity are based. Other bijas include Hrim for Durga and Shrim for Lakshmi. So the different mantras for Kali are derived from Kring Om Kring Kaalyai Namah Om Hring Shring Kring Parameswari Kalike Svaha Om Kring Kring Kring Hung Hung Hring Dakshine Kalike Kring Kring Kring Hung Hung Hring Hring Swahaaa Swamiji has said that the best for japa is Om Hring Shring Kring Parameswari Kalike Svaha. Personally I like "Om Kring Kring Kring Hung Hung Hring Dakshine Kalike Kring Kring Kring Hung Hung Hring Hring Swahaaa " Has a nice Kring er ring to it dontcha think ? ;-) Nope havent read the book that you are talking about - hope you will post some interesting nuggets from there. Guest guest
btw i have an interesting little book here, it is called "kali the mother" by sister nivedita ... anyone ever read this? Yes it is interesting reflection by Sister Nivedita and I like the poems that reflect on Maa Kali in the book .Dakshineswar Kali had a different name before Bhagawan named Her Bhavatarani. Rani Rasmani wanted Her image done at opposite side of ganga river but later was given this place ( Of course everbody heard about Her dream as well) ..The opposite side is resided by Muktakesi Kali that is being worshiped by Kamalakanta family members even today ......................... May be that what She desired to be then.......... I can hear Shree Ma singing "Sakali Toma Icha ......." yes everything happens according to Her desire ............. Steveji if you like this book I am sure you would love another book reflecting Ramprasad's life called At The Lotus Feet of Divine Mother (if I am not wrong)It has beatiful poem and lovely pictures as well under the same publication..
